My First Hour with Windows 8 (Part 2)

In part 2, we look at some videos of actually using Windows 8.

A big deal has of course been made regarding the new interface which Windows 8 uses. I wanted to see if it was difficult to use, or intuitive. I’m sure a lot of people will dismiss it because it is different. But let’s try and be neutral! An overall review will make up part 3 of these posts.

The biggest fuss that I had read about prior to using Windows 8 was that the good old fashioned Desktop had disappeared – how were we ever to adjust? Well, frankly, the internet lies….

You can install programs in the usual way, by sticking a CD or DVD in the right drive, but Microsoft have decided (like everyone else) that “apps” are the way forward. This is a really good description of how to use windows 8 as a power user. I’m still yet to try it, I’m pretty excited though but I don’t know when I’ll get it.
