About a year ago I wrote a post examining the data when Rooney become England’s highest ever goal scorer. Now he has become the most capped outfield player I thought I should update the stats.
All the data was collected from englandstats.com and is accurate as of today (6th September 2016). I’ve collated all the stats (player names, caps, minutes played and goals scored (separated into individual competitions)) into an Excel file available here.
