This page will form the basis of many of the posts that should appear in the coming months. My aim here is to “explain” mathematics. But not, “how to do” mathematics (although parts of it will also talk about that), but what it means, i.e. that solving a pair of simultaneous equations in fact is just finding the point where two lines (or in general curves) cross. We’ll start from the basics and work our way up!
